Ladies Fun Doubles Tennis Day held on Monday 23 March with Chicken and Bubbles Lunch, morning tea, three sets of doubles tennis using a social mixing format.
Held at picturesque Queens Park, Healesville on six synthetic grass courts. Trophies for Top Scorer, Runner-up and top scorer over 70 years of age (The Jean Sholl Memorial Trophy). Played in Autumn conditions with crisp fresh air. Bookings required in advance. Cost $15 per player includes tennis, bottomless cuppas, morning tea and lunch. Event commences 9:30am and usually finished by 2:00pm.
Female players come from all over Melbourne. Healesville members donate home cooked morning tea, salads and desserts for visiting players to enjoy. Raffles optional. Draw prepared in advance so entries close Friday 20 March.
