Fun Ladies Tennis Day with home-cooked hospitality, fun socially mixing format of three sets with various ladies of all abilities. Friendly atmosphere, loyal following of ladies from all around Melbourne welcome new players every year.
Book in advance. Play begins 9:30 am, with morning tea taken on the run in between sets and all play completed by approximately 12:30pm. Lunch will be served at approximately 1:00pm. Chicken and bubbles with salads and desserts, bottomless cuppas.
Enter singularly but all play is ladies doubles. Individual scores kept. Trophies for top scorer, runner-up and special Jean Sholl Memorial Trophy for top scorer aged 70 and over. Played on perfect synthetic grass courts in picturesque Queens Park setting amidst autumn crisp fresh air.
